Property crimes were up 72% in August over the previous month and down 30% over August 2019. The average number of Burglaries and Motor Vehicle Thefts per month are up this year 173% and 117% respectively over the monthly average in 2019 whereas the average number of Thefts Other are down this year 32% over last year.

Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (1 Total)
- Sunday, October 4, 11:27 PM; 4300 block of Wisconsin Ave, NW; CCN 20142116. The victim was sitting in his car when he was approached by two individuals. One of the individuals shot the victim multiple times. The victim was treated at a local hospital and released. There is no usable lookout for the suspects.
Robbery (1 Total)
- Tuesday, October 22, 9:45 PM; 4000 block of Harrison St, NW; CCN 20151596. The victim was walking eastbound in the 4100 block of Harrison St when she was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects demanded all of the victim’s property and stated that he had a gun. The victim handed over numerous personal items to the suspects and they fled on foot. The case was closed with an arrest.
Burglary (1 Total)
- Tuesday, October 13, 2:12 PM; 4000 block of Brandywine St, NW; CCN 20146541. The suspect forced a door of Two Birds open with a crowbar and stole numerous electronics.
Motor Vehicle Theft (1 Total)
- Tuesday, October 13, 11:54 AM; 3800 block of Garrison St, NW; CCN 20146472. The vehicle was parked with the key in the vehicle when it was stolen.
