Property Crimes in August 2021 were significantly lower than August of 2020 and 35% lower than last month. Total Crimes remained low this month and were 43% lower than the average monthly rate last year and 46% lower than the historical monthly average over the past six years.

Motor Vehicle Theft (2 Total)
- Friday, August 20, 1:50 AM; 4300 block of Military Rd NW; CCN 21117489. An Uber Eats driver left his car running in front of the Embassy Suites. When he returned from delivering the food, his car was gone. It has yet to be located.
- Overnight between Wednesday, August 25, 7:00 PM and Thursday, August 26, 8:00 AM; 4900 block of 46th St NW; CCN 21120875. The victim’s vehicle was when stolen by an unknown suspect(s). The keys were left in the vehicle. It has not been located yet.
