Resolution Regarding Request for Modification to Liquor License for Café India, ABRA-083570

WHEREAS, Cafe India has sought permission from the District of Columbia Alcoholic Beverage Administration (ABRA) to extend tits license to serve liquor to its patrons at a planned outside café, and

WHEREAS, commissioners believe that the changes sought will afford local residents with additional, desired options for entertainment and outside seating, and

WHEREAS, commissioners believe that with the stipulations Café India has agreed to in the attached Voluntary Agreement, the applicant will have committed to resolving the known concerns raised by immediate neighbors,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, ANC 3E supports Café India’s above-referenced application, provided that it adheres to the attached Voluntary Agreement.  ANC 3E and Café India respectfully ask ABRA to incorporate the terms of the Voluntary Agreement to the fullest extent possible in any order it issues regarding the subject matter.

ANC 3E approved this resolution at its meeting on September 13, 2012, which was properly noticed and at which a quorum was present.  The resolution was approved by a vote of 4-0-0.  Commissioners Jonathan Bender, Mathew Frumin, Tom Quinn and Sam Serebin were present.
